File Prep Guide

Set your color mode to CMYK

The "color mode" setting can be found when you create a new file in design programs such as Photoshop or Illustrator. CMYK will give you the most control over your final product. Learn more here.

Set your resolution to 300DPi

The resolution setting can also be found in your initial file setup. You should also make sure that your image dimensions are not smaller than the final printed product will be. Learn more about image size and resolution here.

IncluDe a bleed

Use a bleed area of 1/8-1/4 of an inch. This will ensure that nothing is cut off during the trimming process. We have business card templates with a bleed area available for download for both Illustrator and Photoshop. Learn more about bleed here.
